I'm not sure if I'm talking about the right part but i believe the kits i have seen said something about getting a twin turbo intake manifold to fit your car. How would i go about getting one of these, and where?
I am not asking for any specific car(because I am going to get a new car I am just not sure which one yet), I would just prefer twin turbos as opposed to a single large turbo, and i haven't seen many car specific twin turbos.
Oh yeah if you want to have a sequential twin turbo set up, are the turbos any different?
You would need an exhaust manifold for your car. How? Pay for it. Where? No idea, what car do you have? If it's a pretty popular model to turbocharge you may be able to find one in any decent speed shop that caters either to your brand or specific model. If it's a pretty inconspicuous car you'll need to start talking custom fabricated parts.
Also keep in mind "universal" does not mean easy, you're still talking a lot of tuning and fabrication, not to mention the fact that you'll probably need to run a custom computer management system ala Megasquirt to really get the full power out of any kit, and all this is completely ignoring the fact that 'universal' kits are typically the lowest quality crap you can find. My point? Find a kit made for your car and tested by other owners of your car, don't buy something just because it's cheap, especially not when you're talking forced induction.
PS: You have made sure to either rebuild and strengthen the bottom end of your motor, or talked to other owners to make sure the stock bottom end can handle extra boost right?
