Is there such a thing as a 97 integra with a non vtec engine?
im in the process of buying a newer car and i was thinking about a 97 integra 5 speed. Keep in mind I know more about nissan than anything but my question is this. On the valve cover gasket it doesnt say its a vtec. But all the 5speed 97 integras i keep finding are called gsr's and their vtecs. Is there such a thing as a 97 integra 5speed non vtec? Can someone shed light on this for me id be greatlt appreciative ?
The RS, LS, and GS are all non VTEC integras. The non VTEC motor makes more torque than the VTEC motor due to the bottom end. If you did make it an LS/VTEC it would beat a GS-R due to its higher amount of torque from the LS block.
